While we were on holiday, the SPDB team made loads of progress with the roofing subcontractors and drywall crews. The Typar waterproofing layer has been installed, and a first glimpse of the Eichler siding.
We are trying to get the roof water tight asap, so we don’t invite any rain inside the house. Even though the drywall is ready for priming and painting, we still won’t have windows installed until late July. Fingers crossed the All Weather & Milgard windows will stay on schedule.
Tesla solar panel installation should start soon, and our project manager Taylor, has taken extra steps to prepare the roof for installation. Below you can see that extra wood has been added to the roof structure to help with the solar panel mounting. Since all of the electric, plumbing, and can light boxes are on the roof, we cannot risk a mounting bracket puncturing these utilities.

On the schedule next week is PGE utility line upgrade and inspection so we can close up the trench. (we’ve been waiting for over a month!)
